Chinese Langauge Programme

The Chinese Language Programme provides students with an opportunity to learn Putonghua and acquire pragmatic competence through lessons and immersion activities. It embraces language learning and cultural immersion, and offers a remarkable experience for non-native Chinese learners.

There is a choice of 4 levels of Putonghua courses to consolidate vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills. Each level consists of two 3-credit courses and carries 6 credits in total. Simplified Chinese characters will be used in lessons. [Click here to view the list of courses]

English Langauge Programme

A brand new English Language Programme will be offered in summer 2016. This programme is designed for students who want to strengthen their general abilities in listening and speaking in English. Interactive activities including group discussions, role-plays, pair work as well as diagnostic assessments will be incorporated in the curriculum. [Click here to view the list of courses]

Notes:

The English Language Programme is designed primarily for Japanese students to enhance their English proficiency. Hence, the course materials, teaching activities and approaches are developed based on the objective of targeting Japanese students' learning.

Non-Japanese students are reminded to consider the appropriateness of the course to his/her own learning goal before registering the course. Applications from non-Japanese students will be considered case by case.
